Making English distance learning a reality #6

Hello teachers!  This week, we are pleased to invite you to Pearson English Spring Days: a veritable festival of online training sessions, with over 40 different sessions to suit every teacher! Just as spring is a new beginning, we hope to bring fresh ideas to help teachers keep learning and keep teaching.

In this newsletter you’ll also find a survey for Primary teachers and parents, the winners of our World Book Day Contest  and a couple of useful articles.

Primary teachers’ survey

We are interested in understanding how Primary schools / teachers (and parents) are dealing with children learning at home while schools are closed during COVID-19.

Please answer a brief survey to help us plan suitable additional Primary English resources.

Pearson English Spring Days

Over 40 webinar sessions available from 4th – 15th May!

We invite you to join us for our Pearson English Spring Days, an online learning event. Taking place from 4th – 15th May, 2020, you’ll be able to learn from over 40 webinar sessions from more than 20 leading experts in ELT, including plenaries from Jeremy Harmer and Dr. Ken Beatty.

They’ll offer professional development advice and lots of practical classroom tips. You’ll come away with lots of new ideas for teaching, assessment and planning your classes – for adults, teens and young learners.

Celebrating World Book Day

A big thank you to the teachers who took part in our World Book Day contest last week where we asked you to share the title of a book you’ve read in quarantine which has inspired you and tell us why.

There were 5 online licenses with access to 10 Pearson English Readers up for grabs, but we have decided to give away an online license to everyone who participated in the contest!

We will get in touch with all the teachers who participated with your online license to access a Primary or Secondary online Library,  available to you and all your students.
